When it comes to colour, instinct isn’t enough. At WGSN, the global leader in trend forecasting, colour is decoded through a complex yet intuitive system—thanks in part to its partnership with Coloro, which offers a library of over 3,500 classified hues. Together, they read the cultural temperature two years ahead, translating social shifts, emotional undercurrents, and global design movements into palettes that shape the future of interiors, fashion, and beyond.

The process is as creative as it is strategic. Teams of analysts, designers, and forecasters track everything from climate anxiety to AI aesthetics, distilling it all into colours that resonate with the emotional needs of a changing world.

For Autumn/Winter 2026–27, five tones rise above the noise—each balancing contrast with coherence, nostalgia with innovation.

First, there’s Transformative Teal, a fluid blend of aquatic green and deep blue that captures the mood of redirection. Wax Paper, a creamy yellow-white, brings a sense of softness and healing, connecting ancient natural dyes with modern minimalism. Fresh Purple injects mystery and vibrancy—a hue born at the intersection of royalty, AI and rave culture. Cocoa Powder delivers comfort and craft, a rich brown rooted in memory and the handmade.

Together, they form a palette not just for decorating homes—but for navigating the times. Curious to see how these colours come to life? Head to our Instagram, where we’ve used AI to imagine interiors inspired by the shades of 2026.
