As Marie Claire Maison Arabia returns as an official media partner of Downtown Design 2026, we celebrate the fair’s role in bringing together diverse creative perspectives and fostering dialogue across the international design community. Taking place from 4–8 November at Dubai Design District (d3), this year’s edition presents a rich interplay of craftsmanship, experimentation and cultural expression. From established design icons to contemporary creative studios, we highlight eight names whose contributions offer distinct interpretations of the evolving language of design.

This year’s programme reflects an evolving dialogue between heritage and innovation, craftsmanship and experimentation, with eight creative voices illustrating the diversity of contemporary design.

Architect Agata Kurzela collaborates with Kohler, bringing her considered architectural sensibility to the brand’s presentation. Meanwhile, Etereo explores the art of gathering through a lounge concept that places atmosphere, materiality and human interaction at its centre.

Among its speakers is French interior architect Tristan Auer, who will deliver the opening keynote, exploring the reinvention of architectural icons, the relationship between heritage and contemporary living, and the enduring significance of craftsmanship.
