In the heart of Cap d’Antibes, a new chapter begins for Villa Miraé. Formerly known as Impérial Garoupe, the five-star Relais & Châteaux property has reopened after an extensive eighteen-month renovation led by interior designer Oscar Lucien Ono, founder of Maison Numéro 20.

Drawing inspiration from the sun-drenched landscapes of the French Riviera and the villa’s Italo-Mediterranean architecture, Ono has reimagined the hotel as an intimate Provençal hamlet, where blush facades and Roman-tiled roofs evoke the spirit of the South. His design embraces natural materials, soft pastels, and artisanal craftsmanship—with bespoke mosaics by Friul Mosaïque, decorative paintings by Antonin Lamotte, and elegant lighting in Murano glass.

Each of the 35 rooms and suites tells a story through three elemental themes—sea, sun, and garden—expressed in hues of ochre, blue, and green. The reception area and Herbarium breakfast room offer a peaceful immersion in nature, where hand-painted canvases and ceramic wall sconces set a serene tone.

The villa’s culinary scene is elevated by none other than Mauro Colagreco. The three-Michelin-starred chef oversees two restaurants: Amarines, an immersive fine dining experience inspired by the sea, and Miraé, a sunlit escape celebrating Mediterranean flavours by the pool.

Villa Miraé is more than a luxury hotel—it’s a sensorial retreat that captures the essence of French art de vivre. Under Ono’s visionary eye, the property becomes a poetic refuge suspended between sea and sky, history and modernity.
