H&M Home has unveiled its first furniture collaboration, joining forces with American designer Kelly Wearstler on a collection of 29 interior pieces. Where past designer collaborations for the brand stayed within decor and accessories, this one moves fully into furniture, rounded out by a series of sculptural objects.
The collection is framed around design as part of daily ritual, staying close to H&M Home‘s long standing idea of democratic design: distinctive, well made pieces offered to a wide audience rather than a select few.
We had a sneak preview of the collection’s potential in Milan during Salone, and loved it. Even in early form, the pieces already carried the confidence and craft that define the finished range.
“Kelly is a very powerful female designer,” said Evelina Kravaev Söderberg, H&M Home’s Head of Design & Creative. “She’s always had a strong design aesthetic, and she possesses a unique, bold, and confident design language. I tend to say she’s not whispering. We want to showcase that aesthetic to our customers, to bring that vision to new audiences, and every design is unique to us; these pieces have not been seen before.”
Wearstler described the project as a chance to test both her own skills and those of her studio, aiming for work that felt artisanal yet accessible. “We began by questioning how objects can shape a space, creating sculptural pieces that feel expressive, tactile, and designed to endure,” she said.
Modularity runs through the collection’s hero pieces. The POMA accent chair pairs a compact form with a plush, tactile finish, and turns into a loveseat when a second chair is added. The AVERN armchair takes a sharper approach, its faceted geometry giving it a sculptural presence without losing comfort. The SOLUNA lounge chair, built from soft, rounded volumes, becomes a full sofa when multiplied, while the ORTRA sofa table can stand alone or be joined with others to form a larger round surface.
Lighting comes in three forms. EMERA is built on a cage frame with a textile base, AUREX takes a sleek metal silhouette, and MORRA is worked in ceramic. Each lamp is offered in two sizes.
Smaller pieces round out the range, meant to furnish a room in full: the COVA candlesticks, the CURVA vase in two sizes, the MONA metal clothing rack, and more besides. Wood, metal, marble, ceramics and textile run across the collection, giving each piece a tactile quality alongside its sculptural one.
“We aimed to create a complete collection that could furnish an entire room,” Wearstler said. “It’s about offering inspiring and important pieces that can also become part of our everyday moments.”
