Design as a Healing Art: Valentina Cereda’s Vision of Soulful Living

Words By Ivan Allegranti

What if your home could restore your energy—not drain it? For Valentina Cereda, founder of Energy & Space, this isn’t just a fantasy. It’s the guiding principle behind her integrative approach to architecture, where beauty and wellness are inseparable. A pioneer of holistic design, Valentina believes that a truly luxurious space is one that nurtures the mind, body, and soul.

Her journey began not with a blueprint, but with a question: Why does architecture rarely speak to our well-being? Growing up in Sweden and later living in Hong Kong and the US, Valentina’s multicultural experiences led her to sense what many in the field overlooked—the silent dialogue between space and spirit. “Seven years ago, wellness and architecture were rarely discussed,” she recalls. “It was hard to explain what I was doing.”

Today, she’s helping redefine the future of interior design. Drawing from ancient practices like Feng Shui, her work merges natural materials, balanced energy flows, and site-specific intuition. Every project starts with listening—to the client, yes, but also to the land. “Architecture is our third skin,” she explains. “Like clothing, it should protect and uplift us.”

This philosophy informs everything from the materials she selects to the spatial layout. The result? Homes that don’t just look good—they feel good. Grounded in emotion and attuned to their surroundings, Valentina’s spaces are sanctuaries of calm in a chaotic world.

As more people seek homes that support wellness and not just aesthetics, designers like Valentina are leading the way—with intuition, intention, and a deeper kind of luxury.
