Crafted Under Egyptian Skies: Meet ANŪT Cairo

Words By Allegra Salvadori

What if your home could hold the light of Egypt?

Launched this February, ANŪT Cairo is the brainchild of Goya Gallagher and it’s already casting a warm, golden glow on the design world. Her new lifestyle brand is a love letter to Egyptian heritage, handmade craft, and the soul-stirring beauty of everyday objects.

LIPR ANUT Cairo A Nile Journey Collection 6

The debut collection, A Nile Journey, brings ancient myth and sun-drenched landscapes into the modern home. Picture hand-blown glass in shades of amber and jade, cotton linens embroidered with sky goddess Nūt, and ceramics painted in desert ochres and temple blues. Each piece tells a story—of a slow dahabbeya gliding across the Nile, of constellations stitched into tablecloths, of warmth, memory, and wonder.

But ANŪT is more than poetic design. It’s a movement rooted in community and craft. From the potteries of Fayoum to the weavers of Akhmim, every object is handmade by artisans across Egypt. Through its Training Centre, ANŪT offers embroidery courses, legal advice, and digital workshops to support women and refugees. Its Artist Residency sparks collaboration between local and global creatives.

With its mix of meaning, magic, and modernity, ANŪT Cairo isn’t just about how your home looks—it’s about how it feels.
