Award-winning studio ANARCHITECT introduces a quieter, more personal vision of luxury. At The Lana Residences, Dorchester Collection, the studio reimagines a 500-square-metre duplex as an intimate reflection of its owner — an energetic art collector whose world is defined by curiosity, play, and precision.

Working within the architectural mastery of Foster + Partners, ANARCHITECT approached the residence not as an extension of a hotel brand, but as a living narrative. Subtle interventions in lighting, texture, and material transformed the space without disturbing its architectural integrity. The result is a home that feels both tailored and timeless — a study in restraint where every detail carries intention.

“Our work is always driven by a narrative,” says Jonathan Ashmore, Founding Principal of ANARCHITECT. “We craft spaces that tell a personal story, pushing creative boundaries while retaining the practicalities of luxury living.”

Curation plays a defining role. In collaboration with Collectional, the studio assembled a sequence of collectible and bespoke pieces by Jeremy Maxwell, Laurids Gallee, Nico Koronis, and Nacho Carbonell, balanced by classics from Angelo Mangiarotti, Mario Bellini, and Antonio Citterio. Each object becomes a chapter in an evolving dialogue between art and architecture.

Lighting, developed with Atelier TrenteTrois, extends that dialogue — sculpting shadow and reflection to reveal the residence’s emotional depth. Rather than illuminate, it choreographs: heightening intimacy and drawing attention to the art that anchors the space.

With the Lana Duplex, ANARCHITECT challenges the notion of branded living. Here, luxury is not measured in excess, but in meaning — where architecture, art, and identity converge to create a home as singular as its inhabitant.
